I trust all is well. I just received these pictures this morning and wanted to encourage you. Ministry in Nicaragua is very difficult because of poverty, political pressure, and growing restrictions on mission organizations.  Many times, God gives us opportunities where our actions speak louder than words.

This remote community had been without a church, and many people there had never experienced the transforming love of Christ. I had the privilege of visiting the community earlier this year and seeing firsthand what God is doing.

We began by helping feed children in the area. Over time, God called a pastor and his wife to leave the capital city of Managua and move into the countryside to serve this community. The transition was difficult, but they remained faithful to the calling God placed on their lives.

As relationships were built and trust was established, the Gospel was shared. Lives began to change—families, children, and eventually the entire community experienced the hope found in Jesus Christ. Today, the body of Christ is growing and thriving in a place where there was once no church presence.

The Great Commission and the Great Commandment remain the foundation of this ministry. This is the story of World Missions Today—going, serving, and sharing the love of Christ with “the least of these.”

I pray you  both get time with  your precious Family this summer. Linda and I and the girls leave in a few weeks for Arkansas to attend the Christian Motorcycle Association Rally .
