The Gospel touches and transforms lives

MAF’s Mali Wells Project has wrapped up its 2025 work and is celebrating life-transforming results—both physically and spiritually. During well-digging in the villages of Bouanidiè, Djidièni, Yassabougou, and Sayombougou, the team shared the Gospel through film projections, preaching, and individual conversations. As a direct result, seven people made public confessions of faith, while many more were visibly moved and are now being followed up with by local pastors.

The Gospel touches and transforms lives, and the Papuan village of Bina is no exception. Nathan Fagerlie, an MAF instructor pilot, shared how before the arrival of the gospel, Bina was a community plagued by anger, distrust, and violence. Parents would disfigure or name their children after something ugly or unappealing to keep harmful spirits away. However, Nathan has witnessed firsthand the incredible power of Jesus’ love to bring about real change, fostering peace and unity among the villagers. Now, babies are named after attributes of God because their parents have trusted in the Lord and learned not to fear the spirits.

Because of the gospel, Pogapa, Bina, and other Papuan communities have flourished: schools and clinics are established, more healthy babies are born, and the overall health of the community is improving. These remarkable changes are fueled not only by the work and power of the Holy Spirit, but also by the essential resources delivered by MAF.
