I’ll admit it- I’ve made many New Year’s resolutions, and most of them don’t even make it past the weekend. Somewhere between January 1st and good intentions, I order the extra dessert, and my resolutions tend to fade away.
But you know what? I’m learning God’s love doesn’t hinge on my ability to keep goals, my achievements, or even my greatest failures. His grace offers me a fresh start not only on January 1st, but every single day with no expiration date.
Instead of making resolutions this year, let’s rest in God’s promises and in His timing. Take joy in knowing God is at work and He’ll lead us exactly where we need to be.
Let 2026 be a year full of second chances, and if needed, even 3rd or 4th chances. After all, His mercies are new every morning, and for that, I am grateful. His grace never fails, even when our resolutions do.
