| Dear Joy, “I have been teaching children the big picture of God’s Word using Walk Thru the Bible’s otLIVE and ntLIVE for 12 years here in Malawi,” says Wiseman Mussa, an otLIVE and ntLIVE instructor in Malawi. “Through these tools, I have been able to reach more children for Christ,” he says. In Malawi, children in about 80 public schools are learning Walk Thru the Bible’s otLIVE and ntLIVE (our live events that teach the big picture of the Old and New Testaments) at school. The majority of these children are of other faiths (or no faith). But as Wiseman says, “Wherever I go, the children follow me to listen to the Bible stories, and this gives me energy,” he says. Over the years, Wiseman has taught many students; some of them are now in secondary school, some have finished school and are working now, and some are even running their own businesses. “But when I meet them, they still remember the [otLIVE and ntLIVE] lessons I taught them,” he says. “I dream of seeing otLIVE and ntLIVE taught in the whole country so that many children can benefit from these lessons.” Walk Thru the Bible’s global children’s ministry is growing. With humble beginnings in the fall of 2021—the year when schools around the world were still closed from the pandemic—we launched our WTB children’s ministry and impacted more than 360,000 kids that year. This fiscal year, ending June 30, we will reach more than 1.6 million children in many countries, cultures, and contexts. Children in public schools in UK, Nigeria, the Philippines, Malawi, and more; children in day centers in war-torn Ukraine; children in the remote mountains in Peru; children living in gang neighborhoods in Honduras; children in persecuted countries in the Middle East and South Asia, and more—are learning the big picture storyline of the Bible with deep-dive follow-up curriculum (ot/ntSTORIES) from Walk Thru the Bible.
