Alba Rodríguez had to face one of the most painful experiences as a mother. She lost her daughters to leukemia, leaving her to care for her grandchildren while sad and broken hearted.
That’s when Daisy Arzú, a House of Peace leader with Impact Latin America, met Alba. She visited Alba regularly, brought food and accompanied her in her pain, praying for her with each meeting. After a while Alba decided to start a House of Peace in her home, meaning meant she invited friends and family to her home to share scripture and worship weekly.
During one of the meetings, Alba, along with her son and grandchildren, accepted Jesus as Lord of their lives. Alba began to understand God’s interest in her life and experienced His goodness. She was freed from dark sadness as the Lord healed her broken heart. Alba experienced comfort, strength, and hope through Christ.
Psalm 147:3 – He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds.
Through consistent regular gatherings in her home, Alba and her family are learning to follow Jesus and grow in faith as they are discipled by Daisy. Daisy shares that she is thankful for the fruitfulness seen through Alba and her family; they demonstrate how God transforms lives.
