Nigerian Muslims surrender to Christ

Muido, a Fulani herdsman in his early 30s, was known as a respected young leader in his village. A local missionary, Ali—himself a former Muslim—met Muido while providing veterinary care for the community’s livestock. Over time, Ali introduced Muido to stories from the Old Testament through a Discovery Bible Study (DBS), starting with creation, Abraham, and the prophets.

Muido was deeply intrigued by the story of Abraham’s faith and the concept of a sacrificial Lamb. When they finally reached the story of Jesus—the Lamb of God—Muido’s heart was moved. He asked, ‘Could this be the Lamb Abraham was pointing to?’

After  weeks of study and prayer, Muido gave his life to Christ secretly. He began  leading his own DBS group under the cover of night with a few trusted  relatives. Despite fear of persecution, Muido has continued in faith. Recently,  two more men in his tribe came to Christ through his witness.

God has uniquely gifted indigenous missionaries to effectively grow God’s kingdom in their homelands. They know the languages, cultures, and customs of the people they are reaching for Christ. Yet they have very little local support. This is where you can make all the difference!
