God is Enlarging Our Hearts

As I look back at what the Lord has done in the month of August and ahead to what He is about to do, my heart is filled with overwhelming gratitude. How can I ever thank you enough for partnering with Jesus and partnering with us to see His vision established in the hearts of indigenous men and women who are taking the Gospel where many do not want to go!

I want to thank you for standing with us as we enlarge our territories for the Kingdom of God. Truly, as we enlarge our territories, God is enlarging our hearts—filling them with greater vision, greater faith, and greater capacity to see entire nations transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

This season has been a time of supernatural expansion! We recently celebrated the graduation of 240 indigenous missionaries in Chad after two months of intensive training called TOT (Training of Trainers)  These are men and women who have been set on fire for God’s purposes, mobilized, are now being sent forth to take nations for Jesus—not just cities, not just villages, but the very unreached people groups that have never heard His name. There were courses on Trauma healing, Muslims evangelism and discipleship, teaching literacy, community health, Bible survey and Bible doctrine, cross-culture evangelism, and contextualizing the Gospel, Cell group ministry and house church movements, church planting, and much much more.

During this two month missionary training, I taught classes on Spiritual mapping, Character upholding calling, and more. But one of the key classes was restoring the identity in a fatherless generation. Islam has roots of rejection and being fatherless, all the way back to Ishmael being sent away from home by Abraham. They are a culture steeped in hatred, revenge and violence. As I taught on the Father’s love and restoration, there was a mighty move of God in baptizing these precious missionaries with the power of the Father’s love, unconditionally, His healing and restoring grace, and His binding up their broken hearts of fear, intimidation and rejection. What a precious move of God amongst the students! As I asked our missionary staff to be the ‘father’s heart’ and the father’s arms, to embrace these precious young missionaries going to the field, hearts were healed, restored, and filled. They can only give healing as they receive healing. They can give the love of Jesus, as they also feel and know the tangible love of spiritual fathers and mentors.
