EveryAge Foundation

The Bolick Foundation supported participation for our chaplains in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) which equipped them with deeper spiritual, relational, and reflective ministry skill. The training itself emphasized Christ-centered care, self-awareness, and compassionate presence, enabling our chaplains to more faithfully embody the Christian gospel in their daily ministry. Through a focus on spiritual attentiveness, relationship-building, and holistic care, your support strengthened EveryAge’s ability to minister to residents with empathy, intentionality, and a clear Christian witness. Further, our chaplains are now eligible to be on-site facilitators of CPE training for students at our Continuing Care Retirement Community locations, which opens up future opportunities for training new generations of chaplains and pastors.

One resident with limited mobility developed a close pastoral relationship with a chaplain who had adopted the practice of daily rounds as part of their CPE training. When the resident’s brother died unexpectedly, this chaplain was able to deliver the difficult news with sensitivity, compassion, spiritual presence, and hope. The resident found deep comfort in this moment, and the chaplain experienced a heightened sense of confidence and clarity in their pastoral role. This interaction reflects the transformative impact of the training which equipped our chaplains to provide Christ-centered care in moments of profound grief and vulnerability.
