Christ the Living Stone — Building us Together

Like a master architect, our Lord brings together uniquely gifted individuals to build His church.

This is certainly true at our Seminary. I think of Jesse Liebmann, whose military dreams were redirected toward ministry and who now shares the Gospel in Russian to Ukrainian families in Romania. There’s Biruk Chiksa from Ethiopia, preparing to serve in the challenging Somali Region where 99% of the population is Muslim. And Lucas Becker from Brazil, following in the ministry footsteps of his great-grandfather who graduated from our Seminary in 1914 and was one of the first Lutheran missionaries to that country.

These students represent the diverse, dedicated men we’re privileged to prepare as future pastors and missionaries. What unites them is their common purpose in Christ, the Living Stone who builds us together as His spiritual house.
