The Time is Now

That is the heartbeat of Worldlink’s ministry journey -Romans 15:20. It reads, “It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation.”

Here’s a brief recap of how the Lord has led us so far. We started with a handful of strategic partnerships in 2002 with a calling to empower indigenous missionaries to share the gospel of Jesus with the world’s least-reached people. In 2019, with nearly 600 missionary partners, we formed a five-year plan to expand our scope and impact with 1500 missionaries. Today, with 1318 missionary partners, we are planning to surpass that goal this year.

We plan to add over 200 missionaries to our teams in the upcoming months. We will have reached the 1500 missionary milestone by early 2024.

This past year, through our current missionary partners, God brought over 98,000 people to faith in Christ. I can only imagine that the number will grow significantly when we add 200 more!

A Worldlink partner for the last decade, Wycliffe wrote to us about how his indigenous missionary team is building momentum on the ground to reach the remaining unreached people groups in the East and Horn of Africa. He emphasized that Africa has 900 unreached people groups and 300 of them are found in the East and Horn of Africa. The unreached population in this area is about 62.8 million. To Wycliffe, these people are his neighbors; he knows their tribes and their stories. Many of them would live and die without ever hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ if it were not for believers like Wycliffe advocating for them.

Wycliffe speaks directly to the grave need and urgency and discusses how he is taking actionable steps to bring the transforming Gospel to these areas:

We just feel that the time to give the Gospel to as many people as possible is now, for a night will come when we can’t do any work among these tribes. These convictions come with a lot of needs from getting the Bible across, having committed workers living and working among these ripe fields, to having basic support for the missionaries. As the leaders of the movements, we would like to spend quality time with each of these missionaries to encourage, mentor, and coach them into fruitful work…”
