In my recent letter, I introduced you to Wycliffe, an indigenous missionary and Area Leader. Last week, I was with him in Ethiopia as we met to see the ministry that God is doing, strategize for future growth, and train/encourage about 50 young African professionals who have sensed God’s call on their life for missionary service to reach unreached tribes in the Islamic-controlled Horn of Africa.
Nate (Worldlink’s Director of International Ministries) and I were deeply impressed with the quality and dedication of these prospective indigenous missionary partners.
Here’s the bottom line: God is moving Africans to reach unreached African people groups (and by the way, he’s doing the same in Asia and Latin America and around the world.) What they need is what we have: support, training, and special projects to help them reach their own people.
We want to empower more missionaries and we have a unique chance to do that.
For His Glory, By His Grace,
