Bombs drop daily. Burmese Christians are still sharing Jesus.

“The political situation in Myanmar continues to deteriorate,” said an indigenous ministry leader in Myanmar. “In two regions, bombings and attacks on civilians occur almost daily. Young people are being arrested in many places, and countless families are living in fear and uncertainty.”

More than 5.3 million people have been displaced amid Myanmar’s civil war, many living as refugees in the jungle. Food prices have skyrocketed. Last year, the country endured a 7.7 magnitude earthquake. This year, severe flooding submerged entire villages.

“Yet, in the midst of these challenges, God remains faithful,” the leader said. “Through much prayer and dependence upon Him, we continue to move forward with the ministries He has entrusted to us.”

This ministry’s missionaries are bringing food and the gospel to displaced people in the jungle, holding outreaches in Buddhist villages, and distributing thousands of Bibles throughout the country. The ministry is actively training more than 120 students for ministry in their Bible school.

Recently during a national religious festival, missionaries held three-day salvation campaigns throughout their mission fields. “We praise the Lord that a total of 1,210 people attended these camps. Among them, 145 accepted Christ, and 24 received water baptism.” Right now, Buddhists are more open to the gospel than ever before.

These faithful missionaries are shining the light of Christ in this broken country. Would you help them persevere? Ministries in Myanmar ask for help to support their missionaries, provide Bibles, and aid refugees and persecuted believers, among other ministry needs.

“Thank you for your faithful prayers, generous support, and partnership in the Lord’s work,” the leader shared with Christian Aid Mission. “Your encouragement enables us to continue serving Christ faithfully, even during these challenging times.”
