Because the Bolick Foundation funds are pooled to provide partial scholarships, they do not just support one individual; they help weave a diverse tapestry of ministry leaders across the globe. The impact of this collective support is best seen through the types of “Equipping Evangelists” currently being formed at Truett:
- The Local Shepherd: Many of our scholarship recipients are like Bobby, a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry student and local pastor in San Antonio. By receiving scholarship support through our extension campuses, students like Bobby can access high-quality biblical education in their home cities, immediately taking what they learn in the classroom to equip the congregations they already serve.
- The Global Evangelist: Other students are being prepared to pass the “bronze globe” in our Narthex and head into international mission fields. We see the long-term impact of scholarship support in alumni like Blake and Regina, who are currently planting churches in England and leading evangelism teams in Slovakia. These graduates credit their time at Truett—and the formative lessons in contextual evangelism—as the foundation for their life-long commitment to sharing the Gospel outside U.S. borders.
- The Faithful Proclaimer: Our fund also supports the next generation of preachers who are learning to bridge the gap between “the academy and the pew”. Under the mentorship of faculty like Dr. Matthew Kim, students are being trained to communicate the Word of God with emotional intelligence and cultural relevance, ensuring the Church of tomorrow has leaders who can navigate the complexities of modern ministry with clarity and care.
By filling the gap for a multitude of students, the Bolick Foundation’s investment ensures that whether a student is called to a neighborhood in Texas or a city in Europe, they graduate ready to lead without the weight of overwhelming debt.
