A recent guest, who had to stop working to care for his spouse after a horrific health crisis, showed
up on our door hoping to receive help with food. He had never received assistance from any
agency before, so he was quite nervous and said he was somewhat ashamed that he needed to
ask for help. As our caring staff assisted him his whole demeanor changed. As he left, he stopped
to tell me, with tears in his eyes, how unbelievably grateful he was to have experienced such love
from our staff and volunteers. He was amazed at the healthy product we were able to give him and
said because of his financial situation he had been extremely concerned he would not be able to
provide the necessary foods his wife requires now because of her health condition.

He told me before he walked out our doors that God was Good, to which I replied Amen!
