When Jesus walked the earth, He did something revolutionary. He entrusted women with dignity, purpose and mission.
He revealed Himself first to the Samaritan woman at the well. He chose women to proclaim the miracle of His resurrection. He continually lifted up those the world overlooked.
And today, He is still doing it.
Across Africa, Asia and the Middle East, vulnerable women facing poverty, persecution, widowhood and spiritual oppression are rising up — sharing the gospel, planting churches, encouraging the brokenhearted and leading their communities to Christ.
Women like Mika* …
After a night of prayer and a retelling of the Samaritan woman’s story, Mika* returned to her village with boldness. She started a children’s group in her garage using Cru tools to share the gospel. The group grew so quickly that she invited the team back to see what God was doing and to show the Jesus Film.
Out of the 150 people who gathered in her yard, 60 people trusted Christ!
From there, the momentum did not stop. The home gatherings continued to expand until the church became so big that they needed to rent a tent.
Today, she disciples’ women weekly — empowering and equipping them to share the gospel just as she did.
