In Nigeria, a ministry that distributes thousands of audio Bibles each year shared some with a Muslim ethnic group. Entire communities began listening to the Bible, catching the attention of the chief.
Abdullah was a zealous follower of Islam who hated Christians. But when he heard the truth of the gospel, he surrendered his life to Christ. He began sharing the gospel with his people.
His transformed life challenged his people to seek the truth. So when he assembled them in a large gathering to tell them about Jesus, they confessed Christ and abandoned their Islamic ways. “The whole area has now given their lives to Christ, and a church has emerged,” the ministry’s leader said.
Abdullah now organizes discovery Bible studies and reaches out to other Muslims in his state, despite facing persecution and hatred.
“A fanatic for Islam has changed to a soul-winner for Christ,” the ministry’s leader said.
