Prison Ministry

Four years ago, a team of missionaries entered an isolated area in northern Senegal. A 200-mile expanse separated them from the nearest known Christian. About 18 months ago, they began visiting the local prison, offering Bible studies and prayer for the prisoners. After six months of work in the prison, they appeared to have made little progress.
I GOT OUT OF PRISON YESTERDAY
A few weeks later, a prisoner was released. The very next day, he walked to the missionaries’ home. He knocked on their door, introduced himself, and said, “I was following your teachings while I was in prison. I got out of prison yesterday. I want to tell you that I want to give my life to Jesus.” Since then, 12 other individuals in his village have given their lives to Christ, and they have planted the first church in that village.
This is one of many powerful stories coming out of the ministry of Africans Reaching Africa (ARA), one of the newest members of GACX, a global alliance for church multiplication.

GACX is a faithful partner of The Bolick Foundation.
