Developing Ministry Leaders

Central Asian Youth Outreach (CAYO)—one of Frontier Fellowship’s partners—is developing ministry leadership teams and sharing the Gospel with teens and young adults throughout Central Asia. Teams reach out to young people through sports programs, camps, discipleship programs and care for at-risk youth. Through collaboration with local churches, CAYO equips new leaders and creates opportunities for them to gather periodically for training and support to strengthen each of their ministries.

Alibek*, one of CAYO’s leaders, recently visited a large Central Asian city and connected with local pastors and leaders in the area. They were excited to share this update with him:

“Last summer, nearly 400 students from all over Central Asia came to our city for a conference we facilitated to encourage and equip Christian youth. They each paid their own way and many traveled a far distance to attend this event. There were so many young people in attendance that they greatly outnumbered the adults. Because of this, the youth actually led most of the event themselves!

“On the final day of the conference, the youth organized themselves into groups of four and went out into the city to share the Gospel. That day, more than 30 people committed their lives to Jesus as a result of the faithful witness of these young people.”

Through Central Asian Youth Outreach and Frontier Fellowship’s other partners on the frontier, the Good News of Jesus is becoming accessible in places it never was before. We thank God for the infinitely creative ways He reveals Himself to the least-reached peoples of the world.
